It is claimed to be capable of cruising 10,000 miles in eighty hours. TEST FLIGHTS BETWEEN BERMUDA AND NEW YORK Received Wednesday, 8.50 p.m. NEW YORK, May 23. Imperial Airways and Pan-American Airways have successfully completed test flights between Bermuda and New York. An Imperial Airways 'plane flew from Bermuda and a Pan-American Airways 'piano from New York, passing en route. A regular service twice weekly is expected to open early in June. Tho flying time will be five and a halt' hours. WOMAN SECURES JUDGMENT AGAINST LLEWELLYN ECHO OF RECORD CAPE FLIGHT LONDON, May 23. Mrs. Jill Wyndham obtained judgment in the King’s Bench Division for £549, with costs, against Flying-Officer Llewellyn, with whom she broke the record in a flight to the Cape in 1935, the Judge refusing an adjournment on account of Llewellyn’s absence. Counsel stated that Mrs. Wyndham had pawned her jewellery for £6lO to finance the flight. She gave this to Llewellyn on the understanding that he would repay the loan and also pay half the bonuses resulting from the flight. She also defrayed his hotel expenses at Cairo and Capetown. He did not repay the money and she had to sell her .•motor car in order to make a bank deposit against the payments. He failed to keep his appointments to make settlement. Mrs. Wyndham denied that she said that if she were not allowed to go she would wreck the machine.
