Match Against Oxford Drawn

N.Z. BATSMEN NOT IN BEST FORM OXFORD, May 21. In the cricket match against Oxford play was delayed for an hour, rain leaking under the cover at one end of the wicket. The wet patch was too far down to help the bowlers and the wicket was easy. The New Zealanders did quite well to dismiss the last six University batsmen for 114, but the steadiness of the University attack, combined with liveliness in fielding, compelled the tourists to be satisfied with a draw. Roberts, Dunning and Cowie all bowled accurately. Tindill opened his j innings brightly, but the others were! not in the best of form, even Moloney' was slower than usual, taking nearly i two hours to reach 50. With five out' for 95 and 100 wanted and only eighty i minutes left, Donnelly again played a! useful innings, but Moloney’s wicket j fell when trying to force the pace when there was only a quarter of an hour I to go.
