One Hospital Day in London

IN PLACE OF 240 SEPARATE COLLECTIONS (British Official Wireless.) Received Monday, 9.20 p.m. RUGBY, May 2. One hundred and eight London hospi tals are making a joint appeal for funds with the experiment of a single flag day, which will be Tuesday, in place of the 240 street collections which were made three years ago and reduced last year to 77 separate flag days. The Queen expressed sympathy with the efforts in which 50,000 voluntary workers will be engaged and which it is hoped will bring in contributions totalling no less than the sums realised in the separate appeals.
