TAYLOR WINS RIFLE CLUB’S CHAMPIONSHIP From Our Own Correspondent. WAIPUKURAU, March 22. Members of the Waipukurau Defence Rifle Club fired off the final round for the club championship and Messrs. Taylors’ trophy on the Mt. Vernon range in perfect weather conditions during tho week-end. The light upset some of the riflemen at 800 and 900 yards, greatly reducing the score cards. Best results are as follow, scores over 300, 500, 600, 800 and 900 yards and total being in that order:— N. Taylor (scr.), 33, 35, 33, 35, 32 168. F. N. McVicar (scr.), 34, 34, 33, 33, 30—164. A. S. Annand (4), 33, 33, 29, 31, 30— 160. F. Tinney (scr.), 30, 35, 31, 33, 28 — 157.
