Easter Rugby
PLAY AT NAPIER From Our Own Correspondent. NAPIER, March 22. 1 The Easter period will, as usual, sei the Rugby ball in motion. Play wiE take place at Napier and also on othe: fields where Napier players will be tak ing part. On McLean Park, on Easter Satur day and Easter Monday eight team? will be competing and several 1935 AI Blacks will be appearing. Approxi mately 200 footballers will be playing here and it is anticipated that teams will visit Napier from Wellington, Gisborne, Palmerston North, Wanganui, airarapa, in addition to the three teams from Napier. The Napier Marist team will go to Palmerston North, wkile the Napier Technical Old Boys senior fifteen will travel to Gisborne over the Easter holidays to play the annual Rugby fixture against Gisborne Old Boys, last year’s champions in the Gisborne club compethe match to take place on, Easter Saturday. The Napier team 1 at present holds the cup, and as a gre-‘ liminary to a heavy Rugby season the game should be an attractive one.
