Ail Hope Abandoned
FATE OF ENTOMBED MINERS. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copy rlgh t. Received Tuesday, 12.8 a.m. MELBOURNE, Feb. 15. All hopo has been abandoned for those entombed at Wonthaggi. Mine officials announce that, if the men were not killed by the explosion, they must have died shortly afterward from carbon monoxide poisoning. No bodies have yet been recovered.
