An unknown warship shelled tho city for five minutes during the night and 14 were killed, six of whom were children, and 30 were injured. Eighty thousand participated in a demonstration which called on Scnor Cabellero at the premier’s palace urging a purge of the military leadership, the institution of a single command, the creation of a strong war ministry under Government control, compulsory military service of all able bodied men and tho intensification of tho work of fortification. Sonor Caballero promised to considor all tho points.
