Presbyterian Ladies’ Social Guild

FIRST AFTERNOON OF THE YEAR Mrs. K. L. Warren, president of the Presbyterian Ladies' Social Guild, presided over a'good attendance of members on Thursday afternoon. The meeting which was the first to be held this year was opened with a short scripture reading and prayer. Apologies wero received from Alesdames A. East and E. Etz and Miss Hurren. During business discussions it was decided to hold a children's party during the winter months, as this year the Sunday school children had to forego tbe;r annual picnic. Mrs. W. Richardson kindly offered tho use of her grounds for a garden party which is to be held next month. Tennis, croquet, golf and competitions are set down as entertain ments, and afternoon tea will bo served. A competition entitled "Tree Party" was held during tho afternoon and Mrs. Carrad proved successful. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the hostesses, Misses A. and R. Henderson, who served a dainty afternoon tea. Mrs. Warren then brought the meeting to a close by pronouncing the Beuedic tion.
