Wilson, Kauwhata, rei i ently underwent an operation in hospital. Her friends will wish her a speedy return to health, Mrs P. Pedersen Is spending a few days with her daughter, Mrs O. V. Clausen, I Foxton line. Palmerston North j Mr and Mrs \V. McEwmi. Saodrlnghain. Auckland, wno have been staying WJin Mr and Mrs I*. Danielson, Cameron’s i:ne, I left by motor on their return Journey on Saturday morning. On Saturday next tho Women’s Insti- ! tute and other residents are tenderin'' a , farewell evening to Mr and Mrs A. Baxter and Miss Edith Baxter. Mr and Mrs Baxter intend for a while to make their home at Lower Hutt, and Miss Baxter, j whose marriage takes place next month, Will reside at Milson. I The rains recently experienced have sr- , re. ted the drying up of the ground and pastures, and crops aro again looking bright and green.
