Turn Deck Chairs Into Screens

The frames of old deck-chairs make excellent screens, for they only need to be onainelled or stained and then hinged together. The most practical covering to use is one which cuu be easily removed for laundering, and for this purpose cotton or cheeked ginghum are suitable. Make a curtain for each panel of tho screen with a heading and easing at both the top and bottom. Tho heading should extend beyond tho framework of tho screen. Run a rod or tape through the casing and lix it in position on each upright of tho frame. Where there is a baby, a screen with pockets for toilet articles is useful, and the pockets should be made and attached before tho screen is covered. If a heavier material than cotton is required to chock a draught, coloured oil cloth can be used, and this is easily kept clean by an occasional rub with a damp cloth. Simply stretch the material across each panel of tho screen aud keep it in position with drawing-
