On Saturday, January 30, the resi dents of Cheltenham and district gathered at the Public Hall to farewell Miss Irene and Mr. Frank AlcKinlay, who are leaving the district. These . two very popular young people will be greatly missed by all as they very readily gave their assistance in any of the social functions in Cheltenham. They were both very enthusiastic on sports and took a keen interest in all around them. The evening was spent in dancing, Air. R. Batchelar making a very capable M.C., thereby adding to the welfare of all present. After a dainty supper had been served by a capable band of local ladies, Mr. C. He presented to Air, AlcKinlay a leather suit case and cheque and to Aliss AlcKinlay a leather hat box together with the good wishes of all. Mr. AlcKinlay responded on behalf of himself and his sister. Mr. Alurray and Mrs. H. Alurray won a lucky spot w’altz. Air. Dick supplied the music and Mrs. H. Alurray an extra.
