Manawatu Speedway
APPEARANCE OF ALF MATTSON For next Wednesday’s meeting at the local speedway the management have been fortunate in securing Alf Mattson, of Auckland, New Zealand’s acknowledged greatest cinder shifter and motor-cyclist. Mattson will take part in the handicap races and also in special match races against the fastest American riders, and those who have been fortunate in seeing this daring Tider in action will remember bhat when Alf gets his legs across a “speed iron” he turns on everything. Last Wednesday the racing on the speedway was a great exhibition of daring and thrilling riding and again this Wednesday patrons are assured of an excellent evening’s entertainment.
