ADELAIDE. —The Centenary pigeon race over tlie 513-mile course from Oodnadatta to tlie capital, was won by a Red Clieq yearling lien. The bird, owned by two members of the Eouth Australian Homing Pigeon Association, Robert Gregerson and Louis Whitington, Hew the course with a velocity of 1062 yards a minute. . There was a strong adverse wind when the convoy of 757 birds was released at the far northern centre at noon, but the following evening only 152 had returned home.

It was a hard tussle against a southerly wind and demanded stamina and quality. Thirty-three prizes were distributed. Pigeon racing is in great vogue throughout South Australia and there are numerous clubs, particularly in the northern districts.
