Wairarapa beat Rangitikei at Marten by 61 runs in the elimination match for the Hawke Cap. Wairarapa made 206 in their lirst innings, to which Rangitikei replied with 82. In the second innings vVairarapa made 114, W. Peterson scoring 41 and T. James 45. Rangitikei in their second innings made 177.
