Feilding Caledonian Pipe Band Social Evening
At the Foresters 1 ' hall, Feilding, on Friday evening members and supporters of the Feilding Caledonian Pipe Band tendered a complimentary social to Mr. Frank Poole, who is shortly to be married to Miss O. Duncan.
After the guests of honour had been piped into the dance ball by Piper 11. Butler, Mr. D. F. Fraser, president of the Pipe Band, ou behalf of the members, asked them to accept a handsome silver teapot as a token of the esteem in which they wero held. He also extended to the couplo all best wishes for future happiness. _ A useful array of presents for uso in the new homo wero then, o.pcned and received with expressions of approval.
Mr. Poole returned thanks to the baud for its presentation and to all present who had given his fiancee and himself such wonderful presents.
Throughout the evening musical items wero interspersed with enjoyable dancing, the party concluding in the early hours with the singing of the National, Anthem.
