A visitor to Eketahuna from Hawkes Bay recently stated that quite a number of farmers had faced Court proceedings there in connection with breaches of the shearers’ award. The conditions were hitting the smaller sheepfarmers the more severely and there was a good deal of feeling over tho matter.
