Grand Maori Concert

A musical treat of genuine Maori music will be presented at the Opera House on Saturday, when the Otaki Maori ehuir and concert party, consisting of 25 performers, will present a fine and varied programme of Maori games, choir singing, poi dances, action songs, instrumental numbers, hakas, solos, duets and trios. Recently the New Zealand Broadcasting Board engaged this party for three nights' broadcasts, which brought in many complimentary letters and an expressed wish for more. This concert will be much better than a broadcast since patrons will be able to see the artists in person playing their games and doing their dancing and giving their hakas. The leading soloist is Miss Weuo Tahiwi,' Who needs no introduction. She is well-known all over New Zealand for her concert .work. With a performance staged by artists of the quality of this Otaki Maori concert party a full house is anticipated; patrons can be wise and book their seats at Messrs Collinson and Cunninghams's booking office.
