Important Announcement

It is with pleasure that wo draw the attention of readers to the 51st Spring Show of the Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association, which takes place on the Showgrounds, Palmerston North, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the sth, 6th and 7th November next. Since last year’s most successful Golden Jubileo Show', the committee has been very busy exploiting ways and means to make this year’s show moro outstanding and attractive. They have revised the whole of tho prize list, and show patrons can now rely on receiving a schedule embodying new classes, new’ competitions, and new attractions. In this schedule aro provided classes for horses, cattle, sheep, pigs and competition events.

The dog show, to' be hold in conjunction with the agricultural show, will be conducted by the Manawatu Kennel Club, who will supply free schedules to any prospective exhibitor. The dog show prize list is a very attractive one, containing particulars of 26 cups and £l5O worth of trophies in addition to the usual cash prizes. The industrious housewife and her daughters have also been carefully considered and should they desire to supplement the earnings of the household they will find that good prize money and trophies are offered for cooking, needlework, knitting, farmers’ butter, etc. Again those with an artistic senso will find a comprehensive list of classes in the photography section and all those who make photography their livelihood or their hobby are urged to peruse this section.

Entries for all classes other than stock close on Saturday, October 17, while all stock entries close on Thursday, October 22. Schedules are now available and a free copy will be posted by return on receipt of a note or a ring on the telephone. Kindly make application at once to the secretary, P.O.
