Interesting Exhibit for Lord Mayor's Show

LONDON’S ASSOCIATION WITH THE ARMY (British Official Wireless.) ■ Received Wednesday, 7.5 p.m. RUGBY, Oct. 6. The central feature of this year’s Lord Mayor’s Show on November 9 will be a pageant entitled “City of London and Defence of tho Realm,” and the historical association with the city of famous regiments will be recalled. A The earliest detachment of city troops represented will be gunners, archers, pikemen and billmen in the white uniforms of 1593. Members of the Honourable Artillery Company will appear as train bands and auxiliaries of 1643, aud men of tho Grenadier Guards in uniforms of the 1661 foot guards. Defence forces of Jater periods of history will bo represented by other regiments closely associated with London, and finally the tableaux will show London troops in trench warfore on the Western Front in 1915 and at Gallipoli in 1916, Passchcndalo in 1917 and the last advance in 19IS.
