To-night’s Production

LITTLE THEATRE’S “QUALITY STREET’’ Patrons of “Quality Street" will be pleasurably surprised at the managing of the fashions in the Little Theatre’s production of “Quality Street.” The play is set in the days of the Napoleonic Wars and in the endeavour to recreate the picturesque fashions of those days the producers and those participating have spared no pains in acquiring the correct atmosphere. There is always a fascination about those courtly days, being a colourful age for the wealthier class and elegance graced every movement. Needless to say the endeavour to get back to tho days of the Regency has not been confined to the frocking alono. The properties used in the production have been selected with meticulous care and in this direction the society has been fortunate in securing pieces of furniture, pictures and ornaments reminiscent of the period. The “Times” had a glimpse of the final rehearsal last night and found that a wonderful array of talent has been discovered for this play. Indeed the whole production affords an interesting revelation as to the possibilities of a period play
