Theft of Books

SENTENCE OF THREE MONTHS

AUCKLAND, Last Night.

A labourer, Ignatius Patrick Cormick, aged 45, appeared for sentenco at the Police Court this morning on a charge of stealing two books, valued at 10s, the property of Arthur Ivingi, on September 23. He was also charged with failing to comply with the terms and conditions of his release on probation at Wellington on June 20. The police said that Cormick had stolen the books from a room which he had shared with a missionary.

Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., imposed a sentence of three months’ imprisonment on tho theft charge and convicted and discharged Cormick on the second charge.
