Sudden Death at Waikanae

MRS NEILSEN, AGED 63 YEARS. The death occurred suddenly on Saturday night of Mrs. Catherine Neilsen, wife of Mr. Andrew Neilsen, Reikorangi. Mrs. Neilsen, who had motored into° Waikanae to meet her daughter, was about to be driven to her home when she suddenly collapsed. She Was immediately conveyed to Dr. Patterson at Paraparaumu, who, however, could only pronounce life extinct. Tne. deceased, who was well-known and highly respected, was 63 years of age. At ■ the time of the sad occurrence Mr. Neilsen was attending the opening of the new Lodge at Otaki, and when he received the news of Mrs. Neilsen s illness ho immediately motored to Waikanae, only to find that she had passed away. Much sympathy is felt for th bereaved husband and family of_ th-ee grown-up daughters. A son died in 1926.
