Qualify of Chilled Beef

AUSTRALIAN SHIPMENTS. CANBERRA, Oct. 2. Although the Commonwealth Government, according to the Commonwealth Veterinary Officer in London (Mr H. Tinney), is actively extending the policy of shipping chilled instead oi frozen beef to London, the quality remains lower than that of some competitors’ meat. Mr. Tinney says that undue optimism is not warranted when the results achieved by the Commonw-ealth are compared with those obtained by New Zealand exporters. He describes Australian beef as “quite nice” and New Zealand beef as “excellent.”
