Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. It was announced on .Saturday by the Prime Minister (Mr Savage) that, although Professor J. Shc-lley will not take up his duties as Director of Broadcasting until December, ho wouid bo charged with the full direction of ilia Government’s policy in regard to broadcasting. The services of Mr E. Cv Hands, formerly general manager for the Broadcasting Board and still to all intents and purposes the administrative head of the national broadcasting seiviee, would be retained and he wou;T act in the capacity of business manager of the broadcasting service.
