From Our Own Correspondent#
The Anal euchre and dance in aid of hail funds was held on Thursday evening. There was a record attendance and ail present spent an enjoyable time. The prizewinners were: Ladies. Mrs. Trask 1, Mrs. Schwamm 2, consolation Mrs. M. Penberthy; men, Mr. Webb 1. Mr. Henri and Mr. Walker equal for 2, consolation Mr. Henri. The points prize for the year was won by Mrs. Trask with Miss A Wild runner-up; men, Mr. J. Scrimshaw with Mr. Cribb runner-up. A cake donated by Kelly and Davis of Palmerston North was won by Miss A. Jones. On behalf of the hall committee Mr. M. Hansen thanked all those present for their support during the past year and hoped to see them al! again next season. After supper, dancing was carried on well past midnight. Mr. Hansen carried out the duties of M.C. The hosts and hostesses for tiie evening were Messrs. S. Death, Sanne, M. Hansen and Mesdames ft, Burton, Sanne and S. Death.
