The fortnightly euchre was held in the hall on Saturday. A fair attendance was present. The following were the winners: Ladies, Mrs. K. Prouso 1 and .Mrs. G. Davey 2; men, Mr. C. Hyde 1, Mr.. G. Beasley, Mr. H. Turner and Mr. B. Hall equal 2. Mr. H. Turner won the play-off. The points prizes for the year were won by Mrs. J. Burmeister and Mr. G. Beasley. A competition was won by Mr. H. Turner with Mr. O. Collis 2 and Beverley Prouse 3. Supper was served by the iadies. The friends of Mr. S. Burmeister will be pleased to hear he has returned to his home from hospital and will wish him a speedy recovery. The Kairanga Women’s Institute held a special meeting to arrange for a flower show to bo held on November 14. Mrs. P. Learny (president) presided over a fair attendance of members. A number of classes were discussed but were held over till the monthly meeting. Afternoon tea was served by the juniors.
