From Our Own correspondent The rainfall for the month of August recorded at Waiata was 3.78 inches, 1.72 inches failing on the last few days of the month. The average for August since IDI3 is 3.16 inches, the highest being 6.11 inches in August 1935, and tho lowest in 1914 when 1.03 was registered.
