Two Killed in London by Lightning
MALCOLM MacDONALD’S EXPERIENCE.
(British Official Wireless.) Received Monday, 7.30 p.m. RUGBY, Sept. 5. The local storms of unusual severity which on Thursday visited the Midlands and Northern England were experienced yesterday in Northern Scotland. During one of these near Dingwall Mr. Malcolm MacDonald and tho driver of the car in which he was travelling wero temporarily blinded by a flash of lightning which put the ignition of tho car out of order and caused a dangerous skid. Skilful handling prevented the car overturning and the Minister and his chaulleur were able to effect repairs. A severe storm also raged over Central London for several hours this afternoon. Two visitors to Lond.n sheltering uuu.r a tree in St. James’ Park, near rmenngham Palace, were struck by lightning and killed.
