Miss M. McSherry Honoured At Afternoon Party

In view of her approaching retirement from tho service, Aliss M. AlcSherry, supervisor of the Palmerston N. telephone exchange, was the guest of honour at a delightful afternoon tea at C. M. Ross’s tea rooms yesterday. Opportunity was taken to present Miss McSherry with a bouquet. Aliss Cotter iu a happy little speech' paid tribute to the many sterling qualities of their guest. She added that the members of the staff were sorry the tirno had come for Aliss AlcSherry to leave the service. However, they conveyed their best wishes for a happy period of retirement. Those present were Aiisscs E. Cotter, J. Gay, AI. Bailey, AL Field, O. Piercy, H. Baty, AI. Boyce, N. Drover, S. Davies, S. Whitchouse and Airs. Symonds.
