Feilding Wedding
THOMPSON—CALDWELL.
At St. John’s Anglican Church, Feilding, on Monday, August 31, a quiet but pretty wedding was celebrated when Doris Jean, youngor daughter of Airs. A. Caldwell and the lato Air. Oliver Caldwell, of Apiti, was married to Robert Frederick, only sou of Airs. Thompson, of Wellington. Vcn. Archdeacon F. H. I’ctrie, ALA., performed tho ceremony.
The bride, who entered tho church escorted by her cousiu, Air. Douglas Caldwell, looked charming in an ankle 1 length frock of powder bluo silk maroeaiu, cut on simple lines, with bishop sleeves and finished at the nock with a cowl collar and diamante clasp, and hat of cream straw trimmed with blue ribbon velvet to tone, and bluo satin shoes. Her bouquet of primroses, freesias, in shades of gold, bluo hyacinths and maiden hair fern completed a dainty toilette. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Alary Caldwell, who was becomingly attired in navy bluo floral georgette finished with oyster grey collar and gloves of the same shade. Her hat was of navy straw with cluster of pink roses and her bouquet was in shades of cream, pink and yellow with maiden hair fern tied with golden ribbon. For travelling tho bride chose a navy frock of erepo inarietto worn under a navy coat with hat, shoes and gtoves to match. They left by car for their future home in Wellington.
