Wanganui College Old Girls' Association

MANAWATU BRANCH.

Alembers of the Manawatu branch of tho Wanganui Old Girls’ Association spout a very pleasant social evening at Alessrs. Colliuson and Cunninghamc’s on Friday last, cards, games and competitions, together with a short talk on Washington by- Aliss AI. Grant,-occupy-ing the timo very happily. This was the first activity of the branch for the current year and Aliss N. Grant (president), who wore midnight blue velvety extended a cordial welcome to members and friends. The hostesses for the evening were Airs. A. W. Adcock, who wore black lace and georgette with a black velvet bridge coat and orchid corsage, and Airs. Gordon Dixon, who was in navytaffeta with a spray of golden glow nasturtiums. Aliss F. Fowler was the winner of tho hidden number competition at bridge. After a very nice supper had been enjoyed at tables ornamented with Iceland poppies, a vote ol' thanks was accorded Airs. Coates and stall lor courteous consideration on the motion of Aliss N. Coup (secretary). Other members of the executive present were Alesdames Smith, N. Gibson, Misses T. Revall and AI. Rowlands.
