Feilding Horse Fair
The New Zealand Farmers' Cooperative Distributing Co., report on the Feilding spring horse salo held on Tuesday. Taken all round, the quality of unbroken draughts was hardly up to last year’s offering. There was good competition for weighty sorts, but bidding was inclined to drag for lighter sorts. In the broken-in class, sound young horses with weight met with a ready sale, aged and inferior were neglected. Quotations:— On a/c E. McKelvie: Unbroken 3-yr. fillies, heavy, £3S to £-10; lighter, £2O to £2B; hacks, £2 10s to £7. On a/c Dalrymplo Bros.: 3-yr. fillies, £2l to £35; gelding, £22 10s. On a/c G. llauiisk Wilson: Rising 3-yr. geldings, £22 10s to £29. On a/c F. J. Watson: Rising 3-yr. gelding, £3B. On a/c Johnson Bradley: Rising 3-yr. gelding, £3B to £lO. On a/c I*. J. Wade: 2-yr. fillies, heavy, £10; lighter, £22 to £23; hack, £B. On a/c G. 8. Bradley: 20-mtks. colt, £22. Broken horses.— On a/c A. M. Henson: Aged gelding.;, all work, £22 to £25; aged marc, £2O. On a/c Mair Bros.: 9-yr. gelding, all work, £10; 3-yr. filly, £l9. On a/c S. and J. J. Williamson: 4-yr. colt, £52. On a/c A'. Walker: 3-yr. gelding, £li 10s.
