Feilding Foresters
The half-yearly summoned meeting of Court Loyal Feilding held on Wednesday night was attended by 60 members. Chief Banger Bro. Fcakins presided. One new member was initiated and one proposal was accepted during the session.
A, the previous meeting 27 nominations for office were recorded and the election of officers resulted in tho following being declared elected:—C.R., Bro. Gillard; S.W., Bro. Lowe; J.W., Ulster Herdman;' 5.8., Bro. Cochrane; J. 8., Bro. H. E. Smith; secretary, Bro. H. L. Smith; M.S., Sister Cochrane; treasurer, Bro. H. J. Batten. Bro. Hayward and Bro. Sauer acted as scrutineers. The ceremony of installation was ably carried out by 8.C.8. Bro. Kosanoski, Bro. TayJor acting as M.C. During the evening an invitation was accepted to attend the official opening of a Juvenile Court in Palmerston .North in July. Reports by members who attended Court Littlejohn jubilee and Court Epuni jubilee were received. Bro. R. Bowder, who has acted as a trustee for the past 30 years, expressed his wish to retire from the office and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks and appreciation for his many years of active service to the court and it will be recorded as a token of respect to one of tho oldest members of Court Loyal Feilding. The ordinary business having been concluded, the court retired to supper and harmony. The Royal toast was honoured, also the outgoing and newlyelected officers, who replied respectively, interspersed with songs and humorous items. The court meeting was interesting and the attendance a record iu Feilding Forestry.
