Feilding Plunket Nurse
MISS THOMSON ASSUMES DUTY The newly-appointed Plunket nurse for Feiiding, Miss G. Thomson, arrived over tho week-end from Ngaruawakia to take up duty in place of Miss E. Armstrong, who recently resigned in view of her approaching marriage. Last week the committee of the Ngaruawahia Plunket Society gave at the residence of the president, Mrs D. R. Welch, a farewell evening to Nurse Thomson. The evening was spent in playing bridge.
During the evening Mrs Welch presented Nurso Thomson’ with a fountain pen, and in doing so wished her every success in her new sphere of activity, and hoped that at some later date she would be again stationed at Ngarua-
wahia. Nurse Thomson made a suitable reply. A dainty supper was provided by the committee aud a pleasant evening ended with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne..”. During the week Nurse Thomson also received presentations from the Taupiri and To Kausvhata. sub-branches of the Plunket Society.
