Charged with unlawfully landing in New Zealand, Joseph Mahoney, able seaman, aged 29, who was sentenced on May 2nd, to ono month’s gaol for assaulting an otticer on his ship, the Goluen Bear, while the officer was attempting to hold down a pedigree bull, today was charged beforo Mr Stilwell, S.M., with unlawfully landing in New Zealand while a piohibted immigrant und was ordered to be deported and to leave by the Golden Cloud to-morrow, lie is to remain in custody in the -meantime.
