Castle * have returned to Auckland after spending a holiday in. Palmerston North, Wellington and Napier. Miss Jocelyn Betts, of Masterton, who was participating in the Feilding polo events on Saturday, was the guest of Mrs A. Waldin, of Colyton, who also had staying with her Miss Norah Beetham, of “Towcett,” Masterton. Miss J. B. McLeod, B.Sc., who has been granted nine-months’ leave from the staff of the Palmerston North Girls’-High School to travel abroad, left Palmerston -North on Saturday for- Sydney •cn Toutc to England by the Suez route, and will sail by the Strathaird. There passed away at,- Christchurch on Saturday evening Mrs. M. Malden, relict of the late S. M. Malden, aftor a short illness. Mrs. Roy . Priest, of. Milverton avenue, Palmerston North, and Miss.
