Retail Trade Index Rises In Sympathy With Revival

(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 26. That February figures for retail trade again demonstrate the steady increase in tho nation’s purchasing power which has. followed the trade revival. The money value of sales last month was 7.3 per cent, higher than in February, 1935. This follows rises of 10.8 per cent, in January and 9.1 per cent, in December. The total number of persons employed in retail establishments was 3.4 per cent, greater at the end of February, 1936, than a year earlier.
