Mrs. Jenkins and Miss Keiily • were elected delegates to the annual conference in Palmerston North In April. The acting secretary, Mrs. P. Guthrie, then presented the annual report. This showed a very active year’s working both instructively and socially. Also much iiad been done to help various charitable institutions, needy eases, etc. The thanks of the committee are .due to donors of articles for raffles, those who had carried parcels, etc., free of charge, the auditor, and til* Press for always printing reports of meetings. The financial report showed a slight toss on the year’s work but as only two social gatherings had been held to raise funds, the credit balance of nearly £2 Is most satisfactory. Mrs. Haytfiorne then paid tribute to the way the president had worked during the year, having earned the praise of all for the able way she had conducted all meetings and social gatherings. Mrs. Pemberton, amid applause from the members, handed Mrs. Bellskl a gift box of choice flowers. Mrs. Guthrie also paid tribute to Mrs. Bciiski’s work.
