Methodist Church Holds Successful Fair
During yesterday afternoon and evening tho buttorfly fly fair at tho Foresters’ hall was well patronised and its success was mainly due to tho excellent work of the many stall-holders and tho Girls’ Guild, who worked very hard in order to ensure that the occasion would be equal to that of previous years. Tho various stalls were laden down with all kinds of produce, -flowers, cakes and confectionery, plain and fancy sewing and a thousand and one handy articles for use in the home. Praise was due to tho young girls of tho Methodist Church for providing tho busy beo stall with so many delightful kuick knacks.
Tho stall-holders were:—Cakes, Mrs L. Vile and Mrs Low; busy bees, Mrs Hanson; produce, Mrs Ogg and Mrs lvyau; flowers, Miss Hodgkinson and Miss Timmins; meat stall, Mr Patchell; Girls’ Guild, Miss. Gardiner; plain sewin'”' stall, 'Mrs S."’ Matthews and Mrs Dodd.
The fair concluded with tho usual ‘'Dutch auction.’’
