JOHN’S Yesterday afternoon at Feilding a tennis match was played between representatives of St. Brigid’s and St. John’s clubs, the latter winning by 9 sets, 93 games, to 7 sets, 7(5 games. During tho afternoon the finals of the St. John’s Club handicap singles matches for the cups and miniatures presented by the president of the club were played, Mrs. Tait defeating Miss H. Clialmcr and W. Patton defeating N. Brewer. During the afternoon tea interval Mr. C. Hausmann, vice-president of the club, congratulated tho winner and presented the trophies.
