District nurses in England and Wales number 7170, an average population of 5329 per nurse. About TOO tom-tits flew aboard the Canadian Pacific liner Duchess of Bedford recently, when she was passing the Isle of Anglesey. Most of them continued as passengers until the ship berthed at Liverpool. Some were still flying about rooms in the ship as the passengers were landing, but eventually they all flew away.
