Rongotea

From Our Own Gorrespondoat. On Wednesday evening an enjoyable concert was presented in conjunction with the horticultural show. The programme was provided Dy Mr D. B. Rowe assisted by lady members who were tho recipients of floral bouquets before returning home. Mrs Will introduced Mr D. Rowe and the following programme commenced: Misses Cowan (2) and J. Maunder, instrumental trio; Mr Adrian Rowe, baritone solos; Miss J. Maunder, musical monologue; Miss Melva Day, soprano solos; Miss Cowan, pianoforte solos; Miss Clark, contralto solos; Misses Cowan and J. .Maunder, instrumental trio; Mr D. B. Rowe, bass solos. At tlie conclusion Mrs Will thanked the performers who were later entertained at supper. During the evening the Watkins Challenge Cup was presented to Mr Raymond Gloyn, who, besides being awarded first place, also gained the position of runnerup in this competition for farm-roots.
