South Island Air Pageant
SPOILT BY BAD WEATHER. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Mar. 14. The.official South Island air pageant was opened this morning under idea, conditions. The weather was perfect till just after a spectacular air paradt of 44 machines over the city, when : southerly wind storm, followed by steady rain, marred the afternoon, lit suits:— Biedisloe trophy: R. McSkimminp (Otago) J, Mrs. i’ouito.u (Canterbury; 2, R. D. Max (Nelson) 3. N.Z. Herald trophy: J. V. Reid (Wai rarapa) 1, W. Cameron (Southland) 2, M. K. Greenslude (Otago) 3. Gloucester trophy: 1. H. Keith (Western Federated) J, J. M. M. Smith (Southland) 2, J. Buckeridge (Wairarapa) 3. Bombing: K. Mitchell (Otago) 1, L. Liverton (Wellington) 2, S. Brown (Hawke's Bay) 3. Junior landing: Miss B. Black (Otago) 1, G. Cunningham (Wairarapa) 2, K. Watson (Southland) 3. Best club turn out: Otago 4,2, 3 and 4. Senior acrobatics: J. M. Buckeridge (Wairarapa) 1, J. H. M.
