The friends ol Airs W. Baker, of Cook street, will regret to learn that she is at present an inmate of the Palmerston North Public Hospital. The Rev. Father Brennan, of Taranaki, and lormerly or Foxton, was a visitor to Foxton last week.

Al Friday's session of the Alethodist comercnce held in Christchurch, Rev, C. W. Brown was re-appointed minister in charge of the local Alethodist Church for a further year.

.Mr and Airs R. Small are at present oil a motor tour embracing the cast coast. The friends of Air Dorenza Alanstield will be pleased to hear that he is progressing satisfactorily after his severe indisposition. The friends of Air W. Swan, of Johnston street, will regret to learn that he is at present an inmate ol' a private hospital in Palmerston North, where he recently underwent an operation. He is reported to be making good progress towards recovery. Mr T. Aladge is at present relieving Air B. AlcNab on the Palmerston North-Fox-ton charabanc service, Air AlcNab being engaged on a special run to Te Puke. Air R. Mercer, of Palmerston North, is relieving Air W. Swan, who is in hospital. Twenty members of tile Foxton Brownie Pack journeyed to Palmerston North on Saturday morning in charge of Miss Al. Barron (Brown Owl) and Aliss J. Cowley (Tawny), to attend the district Brownie rally. The outing had been keenly anticipated lor some lime. Druids Meet. ,A.D. Bro. Staff, for riding bicycles on borough footpaths. Fines of 5s with costs 10s were imposed in each case, the S.M. commenting that at the previous sitting he had had to deal with similar offenders and if anymore cases came before the Court lie would have to impose more substantial penalties. Defendant did not appear but submitted his version of the accident to the Magistrate by letter. The Magistrate said that in the letter defendant admitted not giving way to traffic on the right. Constable Owen explained the case was the sequel to a motor collision which occurred on the Union-Johnston street intersection on the date in question. Defendant was convicted and fined £1 with costs £2 2s 3d.
