Marima Sports
The Marima school and. district sports were held in tlio domain on Friday last, when a full muster of old and young made an appearance. Enthusiasts who could escape from the full programme of sports enjoyed a fair share of tennis and bathing in ideal conditions, and as for the welfare of the inner man—well, the ladies saw to that. The picnickers did full justice to the admirable efforts they had put forth in the catering line. Sportsman ship/was the order of the day. Every lady on the ground goose-step-ped the chain in solemn file, while the v/ay that inoffensivo nail was pummelled and belaboured showed that in many cases previous experience was not the necessary condition for entering tho nail-driving competition. One did not even hear complaints when at one stage men, women and children were ordered off to join in a frantic search for elusive peanut bags hidden in the trees.
