From Our Own Correspondent. Recently friends from far and near gathered to wish happiness to Miss Dulcle Hemmings and Mr A. Montgomery, whoso marriage takes place shortly. Modern, old-time and novelty dances all formed part of the programme. Miss D. Montgomery and Mr H. Lewis won the lucky Gay Gordons while Miss B. Lyshart and Mr V. McEwen were the winners of the Monte Carlo. The musicians for the evening were Mesdames R. McNac, E. Buokman, Miss J. Searle and Messrs C. Searle, E. Signal, F. Harvey, T. Searle and E. Buckman, while Mr H. McKenzie was M.C. At supper time Mr McKenzie, on behalf of those present, asked the guests to accept a collection of parcels from their many friends. Ho ■wished the young couple the best of happiness and prosperity and a long and happy married life. Mr Montgomery briefly replied on behalf of Miss Hemmings and hin.self. The parcels were then opened revealing a splendid collection of useful household gifts. A bouquet of carnations and maidenhair fern and dainty buttonhole were presented and musical honours were accorded the guests of honour.
