Development of Coal Deposits Near Glasgow
PROPOSAL UNDER CONSIDERATION. (British Official Wireless.) Received Wednesday, 7 p.m. RUGBY, Jan. 7. A proposal is under consideration for tho development of coal deposits near Glasgow, estimated to be worth £7,000,000 and calculated to give cm ployment to nearly 1000 men for about 40 years. Two large Scottish colliery firms are interested in tho proposals, which'will shortly come before the Railway and Canal Commissioners. The deposits lie under an estate which the Glasgonv Corporation has under development for housing.
