Boys' and Girls' Calf Clubs
YESTERDAY’S JUDGING Yesterday Makino, Cheltenham and Tokorangi schools were visited for the purposo of judging the calves entered by the children in the Boys’ and Girls’ Calf Club competitions. The judge was Mr D. Kilgour, of Kiwitea. The awards made at tho different schools Were as follow: — Makino .School (calves presented 4). —Dairy type: Allan Pearson’s Daffodil 1, Gordon Mitchell’s Daisy 2, Ernest Kenny’s Rita 3, Ivan Pearson’s Bonny v.h.c. Caro in rearing: Ivan Pearson 1, Ernest Kenny 2, > Allan Pearson 3, Gordon Mitchell v.h.c. Cheltenham School (calves presented 5; 1 yearling).—Dairy type: George Haro’s Gwen 1, Keith Ireland’s Hyfore Clover 2, Avis Ireland’s Hyforc Crystal 3, Maisie Mills’ Lorna v.h.c., Bruce Sandiland’s Jean li.c. Caro in rearing: George Hare 1, Maisie Mills 2, Keith Ireland 3, Avis Ireland v.h.c., Bruce Sandii'ands h.c. Yearling: Avis Ireland’s Ilyfore Bell 1.
