From Our Own Correspondent. Calves entered in tho school Calf Club competition were judged on Monday, those in charge being Messrs. D. Buchanan and E. H. Lange. The winners wore: Len Tamplhi 1, Alton Wilson 2, Jean Prouso 3; yearling class, dairy type, Len Tumplin 1, Norman Wilson 2, Brueo Wilson 3, Frauces Lemberg v.h.e. A very enjoyable party was held at the residenoe of Mr and Mrs W. Weddell last week. Tho time was spent in games, competitions and dancing. After a dainty supper Mr S. Rowland, on behalf of thoso prosent, thanked Mr and Mrs Weddell for their hospitality, Mr C. Weddell replying on behalf of his parents. Thoso present woro Mr and Mrs Weddell, Misses L. liearsoy, M. Rowland, I. Morley, G. Weddell, J. Hoarsey, I. Morley, L. Weddell, Messrs J. Hoarsey, S. Rowland, I. Parkinson, C. Weddell, 1. Rowland, H. Dampney, W. Weddell, 11. Hartridge, R. Rowland and I. Weddell.
Mr G. Coulter, who formerly resided in this district, has been visiting Mr and Mrs H. Voss.
Mr C. Cooksley, of Wellington, spent tho week-end with ills parents. Mr and Mrs Armstrong and family, late of Palmerston North, have taken up their residence, in Longburn. A wedding of local interest took place recently when Miss Noia Wilton was married to Mr W. Francis. Tho young couple will make their futuro homo in Woodvillc.
