Young Man on Trial for Murder

SYDNEY, Nov. 10,
At the lleuwood inquest the Coroner found that death was due to injuries inflicted by Hickey, who was committed for trial ou a charge of murder. No application was made for bail. Detective-Sergeant Alcßae tendered a statement alleged to have been made by Hickey, according to which Hickey said that Kenwood '‘got very irritable, throwing things at me and - throwing me about the carriage. 1 lost my temper, and seeing a water bottle o.u the floor. I picked it up and hit him as hard as I could on the head. He at once, fell to the floor, and I then went through his pockets.”
Mystery surrounded (he tragic death on November 4 of Air AI. lleuwood. New South Wales Conciliation Commissioner, aged (id. His body was found alongside the railway line near Fauleon bridge, 01 miles west of Sydney. One side of Air Hen wood’s head was shockingly injured. His veffi pockets were turned inside out. His gold watch and chain had not been touched, but his hat and baggage were missing.
